‘American Horror Story’ returning for Season 13 with Ariana Grande, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange & more

Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story is returning for Season 13, and will star Ariana Grande, Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and the return of Jessica Lange. Season 13 is set to premiere Halloween 2026.

Producer and series creator Murphy announced the casting for Season 13 in an Instagram post which featured a teaser video with the stars’ names set to a cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and a quote in the teaser which read: ”Surprise, b*tch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”

The cast announced for Season 13 are all actors who have worked in the Ryan Murphy universe before. Grande, Roberts and Lourd previously worked with Murphy on Scream Queens, while Roberts starred in American Horror Story: Coven, and AHS: Delicate. She also appeared in AHS seasons Freak Show, Cult, Apocalypse, and 1984.

Peters and Paulson have played different characters in AHS, dating back to the original season, Murder House. They also both returned for Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse, and Double Feature.

Angela Bassett, co-producer of 9-1-1 with Murphy, joined the anthology series in Coven, and returned for Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, and Apocalypse.

Lange has a long history with the American Horror Story franchise as part of the inaugural season in 2011, Murder House.  Her surprise return to AHS comes after she said earlier this year she would not return to the franchise. While appearing at the Glasgow Film Festival for the premiere of Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Irish radio station SPIN 1038 asked Lange if she would be returning to the horror series. “Oh Christ, no,” Lange said. “I mean, I haven’t done it for more than 10 years, 12 years, so, no, I’m not doing it.”

Cleveland Browns sign DE Alex Wright to 3-year, $33M contract extension

The Cleveland Browns have signed defensive end Alex Wright with a new three-year, $33 million contract extension, locking him in through the 2028 season. The deal, confirmed Thursday by agents Drew Rosenhaus and Shawn O’Dare, includes $21 million guaranteed and prevents the 25-year-old from reaching unrestricted free agency this offseason.

Over his first 46 NFL games, Wright has tallied 85 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, nine sacks, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two recoveries, showing steady development each season.

Wright, a third-round pick in 2022 out of UAB, has become a key contributor along Cleveland’s defensive front. Through nine games this year, he has recorded three sacks, nine tackles for loss and a forced fumble, despite missing Week 10 with a quad injury. His three sacks rank third on the team behind Myles Garrett and Maliek Collins.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz highlighted that growth in late October, praising Wright’s expanded role opposite Garrett. “He’s playing with great effort,” Schwartz said back in October. “He’s a factor in pass rush. He’s such a big guy, long, he can affect the passer in a lot of different ways. He’s playing really physical run defense. There’s a lot to like there.”

Cleveland (2-8) faces the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) on Sunday.

Braves sign Raisel Iglesias to $16M extension, acquire Mauricio Dubón from Astros

The Atlanta Braves strengthened both their bullpen and defensive depth, finalizing a one-year, $16 million agreement to retain closer Raisel Iglesias; and completing a trade with the Houston Astros to bring in two-time Gold Glove winner Mauricio Dubón. In exchange, Atlanta sent infielder Nick Allen to Houston.

Iglesias just finished a four-year, $58 million deal; the 35-year-old right-hander posted a 3.21 ERA with 29 saves in 2025  In his two previous seasons with the Braves, he held a 1.95 ERA and 34 saves in 2024, and a 2.75 ERA with 33 saves in 2023. Since transitioning to a full-time closing role in 2017, Iglesias ranks near the top of MLB relievers in both WAR and saves. Before joining Atlanta at the 2022 trade deadline, he pitched for the Reds and Angels after signing with Cincinnati out of Cuba in 2014. General manager Alex Anthopoulos said of Iglesias: “We knew we needed to address closer one way or the other and who better than somebody we know. He wanted to be here. His first choice was to be back in Atlanta. I’m glad we were able to get it done.”

The Braves also added Dubón, who earned Gold Gloves in 2023 and 2025. The 31-year-old played at least 15 games at second base, shortstop, third and all three outfield spots last season, logging 133 total appearances while hitting .241 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs. Dubón is arbitration-eligible and under team control through 2026. Anthopoulos said Dubón’s role will hinge on additional offseason moves. “I told him I don’t know what your role is going to be yet, but the fact that we have the flexibility to play him all over … he’s just a good piece,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Allen was sent to Houston after four seasons in the MLB. He posted a .221 average with eight stolen bases in 2025, appearing primarily at shortstop, where he was previously a Gold Glove finalist.

Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan join forces for new version of ‘Old Tricks’

Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan have joined forces for a second version of “Old Tricks”.  The track was originally featured on Rhett’s About a Woman (Deluxe) LP with Blake Shelton.

Rhett shares of his collab with Horan: “Niall and I have been buddies for six or seven years now—anytime I’m over in the UK or he’s in Nashville, we always try to link up. We’d talked about doing something together for a long time, but I never imagined it would be this song. I was at the Masters this year and went to hang out with Niall and Noah Kahan, and out of nowhere, Niall goes, ‘I’m so mad you didn’t ask me to sing on ‘Old Tricks.’ I said, ‘Man, you were the last person I would’ve thought would even like this one!’ He kept texting me about it after and he knew all the words. With how fired up he was and his connection with Blake, it felt like a full-circle moment and turned into something really fun. I’m pumped it’s finally out there and hope y’all love it as much as we loved making it.”

Horan added: “I’ve known Thomas Rhett for years now, and every time we’re in the same city, we end up catching up like no time’s passed. I actually heard ‘Old Tricks’ by accident one day when I was in the studio with my friend and producer Julian Bunetta who was working on the song. It came on and I was instantly hooked. I told Thomas Rhett straight up I was gutted he didn’t ask me to jump on it. I just loved everything about it, it’s a proper country song. Next thing I know, I’m in the studio laying vocals down. It felt easy, natural, like it was always meant to happen. I’m buzzing for people to finally hear it.”
