See Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne in Season 2 trailer for Apple TV+ comedy ‘Platonic’

Apple TV+ is previewing the sophomore season of Platonic, starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as friends for over two decades.

Rogen and Byrne make their long-awaited return as friends Will and Sylvia in a new trailer; two years since viewers last saw the co-stars reuniting for the small screen on their critically acclaimed series.  The official Season 2 synopsis reads: “The duo tries their best to be each other’s rock, but sometimes rocks break things.”

The trailer shows how Will’s new girlfriend impacts their platonic relationship. Sylvia laments to her husband (Luke Macfarlane) that it would take way too long to replace Will, so they have to figure out how to make it work. They enter into “appropriate” adult behavior, like couples dinners with Will and his new girlfriend.

Season 2 also stars Carla Gallo, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett and Milo Manheim, and will premiere with two episodes on Aug. 6.  See the trailer: HERE.

Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore, surprised fans with the release of 17 new songs, uploaded on her website.

Fans were given an access code for the new drop after purchasing the new “Ego” shade of semi-permanent hair dye from Williams’ company Good Dye Young.  Upon entry, users enter a web page featuring the new tracks including “True Believer,” “Mirtazapine,” “Hard,” “Negative Self Talk,” “True Believer,” “Discovery Channel” and “Zissou.” An additional “Misc” folder leads to a performance video that appears to have been taken in Phoenix in 2017, plus an image of a lyric book and a “Hayley Williams is my favorite band” t-shirt.

Williams had not commented on the release, or it if will serve as the official follow-up to her 2020 debut solo album, Petals for Armor, or its more folk-tinged 2021 sequel, Flowers for Vases/ Descansos.

Earlier this year, Williams released the single “I Like It I Like It” with Moses Sumney. The surprise dump of new songs comes days after the release of Paramore’s deluxe digital edition of the group’s debut album “All We Know Is Falling” to honor its 20th anniversary. The new edition included the first-ever digital release of “The Summer Tic” EP, which was initially put out in only a CD format.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie pass rusher David Walker out for season with torn ACL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Monday that rookie pass rusher David Walker has torn his ACL, and will miss the 2025-26 season.

Bowles said: “He was making a big impact early. Obviously, we were counting on him doing a lot of things, but other guys are going to have to step up. I told him he has to look at this like a redshirt year. It’s unfortunate. It didn’t look like it was too much on film, but it ended up being that.”

Walker joined the Buccaneers as a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and was expected to get reps behind Haason Reddick and Yaya Diaby. Anthony Nelson and Chris Braswell are among the Buccaneers’ other outside linebackers.

Walker was honored as the top defensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) last season when he earned the Buck Buchanan Award. He totaled 10.5 sacks and an FCS-high 23 tackles for a loss in 2024 at Central Florida.

The Buccaneers will host the Tennessee Titans in their preseason opener Aug. 9 in Tampa, Fla.

Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan agrees to multi-year contract contract extension

The Chicago Bulls and head coach Billy Donovan have agreed to a multi-year contract extension.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported “Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan has signed a multiyear contract extension with the franchise, sources tell ESPN. Donovan is viewed as a leader within the Bulls organization, and will enter his sixth season in Chicago in 2025-26 with 800 NBA games coached over his career.”

Donovan joined the Bulls in September 2020 after a successful tenure with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he consistently led them to post-season appearances.  Under Donovan’s leadership, the Thunder achieved a 243-157 record and made it to the play-offs every season.

With the Bulls, Donovan holds a 195-205 record and only one play-off appearance. Donovan finished his fifth season with Chicago with a 39-43 record and a No. 9 seed in the Eastern Conference. Before his NBA career, Donovan was an assistant in Lexington from 1989-94 under then-head coach Rick Pitino. He became the head coach at the University of Florida, where he advanced to four Final Fours over 19 seasons and won consecutive national championships in 2006 and 2007.  This fall, Donovan will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame based on his accomplishments as a college basketball coach.
