Justin Timberlake, Gracie Abrams to headline 2025 Lollapalooza Berlin

Justin Timberlake, BTS’ J-Hope, Gracie Abrams, Raye and Benson Boone are among the headliners for 2025’s Lollapalooza Berlin, taking place on July 12/13 at Olympic Park and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Lollapalooza Berlin was the first European extension of the ‘Lollapalooza’ brand, launching in 2015 and taking place at a variety of different venues before finding its permanent home at Olympic Park.

Also slated to perform at Lollapalooza Berlin are: Armin Van Burren, Brutalismus 3000, Ive, The Last Dinner Party, Dom Dolla, John Summit, Artemas, Shaboozey, Royel Otis, Ashnikko, Magdalena Bay, Sofi Tukker, Bigxthaplug and Mark Ambor, and more.

The 2025 Berlin edition will also host Mother Mother, Mahmut Orhan, Argy, Mark Ambor, Bunt., Nora En Pure, Miss Monique, Anna, Flo, Joey Valence & Brae, Neil Frances Present Club NF, Benjamin Ingrosso and Wasia Project, among others.

Dallas Stars rally to defeat Oilers 6-3 in Game 1 of Western Final

The Dallas Stars defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final at American Airlines Center on Wednesday.

The Stars rallied from a two-goal deficit, scoring five goals (three straight on the power play) in the third period to clinch the win. Tyler Seguin scored twice and had an assist and Miro Heiskanen and Mikael Granlund each had a goal and an assist for Dallas. Heiskanen said after the game: “It doesn’t matter if we’re down two goals, however many goals, we never quit. There’s always a chance to come back and we feel like if we play like that, pressure the [defensemen] and play in their zone more, it’s always a chance to win … Great third. If we keep doing that, it’s going to be good.”

Game 2 is scheduled for Friday in Dallas.

Indiana Pacers beat NY Knicks 138-135 in OT of Eastern Conf. finals Game 1

The Indiana Pacers rallied to beating the New York Knicks 138-135 on Wednesday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The Knicks, led by Jalen Brunson with 43 points and Karl-Anthony Towns with 35 points and 12 rebounds, were ahead 14 points with under 3 minutes remaining in regulation, until Aaron Nesmith helped the Pacers comeback. Tyrese Haliburton tied the game as time expired in regulation, and Andrew Nembhard made the go-ahead basket with 26 seconds remaining in OT to clinch the win for Indiana.

Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. ET in New York.

Leslie Odom, Jr. returning to ‘Hamilton’ on Broadway this fall

Leslie Odom, Jr. will return to Broadway‘s Hamilton this fall in a reprise of his Tony Award-winning role as Aaron Burr.  Odom, a member of the original cast, returns to Hamilton nine years after he took his final bow in July 2016.

Odom Jr. originated the role of Burr in Hamilton in 2015 and has since portrayed Dr. Arbuthnot in the 2017 film Murder on the Orient Express, Draemond in the TV series Abbott Elementary, and Victor Fielding in the 2023 movie The Exorcist: Believer.

Hamilton posted on X: “Welcome back to the inimitable, original, Aaron Burr: Leslie Odom Jr! See him on Broadway September 9th – November 23rd.”

The actor and singer, 43, wrote on social media: “I kinda feel like I was born onstage at the Richard Rodgers theater. Hamilton, opened on my actual birthday a decade ago. For twelve weeks this fall, starting on 9/9/25, I’ll return to the place of my birth. Gonna feel so good to be home. See you soon! #HappyBirthday #BornAgain”

Odom begins performances on Tuesday, September 9, for a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, November 23 at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre.

The Hamilton cast presently includes Nicholas Christopher as Burr, Trey Curtis as Alexander Hamilton and Tamar Greene as George Washington. The musical also stars Jacob Guzman, Colby Lewis, Jarrod Spector, Ebrin R. Stanley, Cherry Torres, Stephanie Umoh, Morgan Anita Wood, Reanne Acasio, Adam Ali-Perez, Lauren Boyd, Amanda Braun, Jonathan Butler-Duplessis, Chloe Campbell, Marc Delacruz and Alexander Ferguson.

Tim Allen’s ‘Shifting Gears’ gets Season 2 on ABC

Tim Allen’s Shifting Gears has been renewed for a second season on ABC. Allen wrote on X“Well well well……Back to work.” 

Shifting Gears’s pilot episode logged almost 17M cross-platform viewers over its first week for ABC’s biggest new series launch in more than six years.  In addition to Allen, the main cast of Shifting Gears includes Kat Dennings, Seann William Scott, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Lucas Neff, Maxwell Simkins and Barrett Margolis.

Per Deadline, the show follows widower Matt (Allen), who owns a high-end garage where he, Stitch (Mitchell) and Gabriel (Scott) restore and repair classic cars. Matt’s life and workplace are disrupted when his estranged daughter Riley (Kat Dennings) shows up on his doorstep with her two kids — Carter (Simkins) and Georgia (Margolis) — after leaving her husband Jimmy (Neff).

Mariah Carey to release ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ 20th anniversary expanded edition

Mariah Carey‘s hit album The Emancipation of Mimi will celebrate it’s 20th anniversary this year and Carey has announced several releases to celebrate the milestone.

A post on Instagram reads: Happy “Mimi” Anniversary!! I’m excited to celebrate this one with you 🥰 While working on #Mimi20, I got to relive all the memories from this pivotal moment in my personal and professional life. This album has some of my biggest hits to date, as well as some personal favorites that are very special to me. Carey has personally compiled a collection of songs from Emancipation into a five-LP vinyl box set arriving May 30, featuring the original tracklist of hits including “It’s Like That,” “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” “Say Somethin,’” “Fly Like a Bird” and “Get Your Number.”  The special edition will also house dozens of bonus tracks, past remixes and collaborations with other artists, instrumentals, a capella takes, live recordings and more. There’s also a brand-new remix of “Don’t Forget About Us” by Kaytranada, which is out now, and a 28-page booklet that includes a personal letter from Mimi.

Mariah shared in a statement, “While working on this edition, I got to relive all the memories from this pivotal moment in my personal and professional life. This album has some of my biggest hits to date, as well as some personal favorites that are very special to me. Forgotten gems, unreleased bonus tracks and different remixes with incredible collaborators – all of these and more are now available in one place for the first time ever!”

A deluxe two-LP vinyl version will also be released, as well as an extended digital deluxe edition, with a selection of songs from the box set; both will be released May 30.

Joe Jonas shares the single ‘Heart by Heart’ from new LP

Joe Jonas has shared the new solo track titled Heart by Heart, featured on his upcoming album Music for People Who Believe in Love dropping on May 23.

Heart by Heart was co-written with a team of collaborators including Lewis Capaldi, Savan, Oscar Holter, and Max Gsus, and follows the previously-released tracks “Work It Out” and “What This Could Be” from the upcoming LP

Music for People Who Believe in Love will be Jonas’ second solo studio album, following his 2011 debut Fastlife. After that release, he went on to form DNCE, best known for their 2016 self-titled album.

The Jonas Brothers are also gearing up for their 20th anniversary Living the Dream tour, which will include 10 stadium dates across North America, and the brothers are preparing to release their seventh studio album, Greetings from Your Hometown — which will also be accompanied by a live album.

Florida Panthers defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final

The Florida Panthers took Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final with a 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Tuesday.

Carter Verhaeghe and Aaron Ekblad scored twice in the first period for the Panthers, with Verhaeghe, Evan Rodrigues and Tomas Nosek each adding assists. A.J. Greer added a goal in the second period for Florida, with Sam Bennett scoring in the third-period and Eetu Luostarinen add another goal late. Sergei Bobrovsky made 31 saves, and said after the game: “I thought our guys did a great job with the skating, with the whole game. It was a complete game. We’re happy with the win. It’s important to get the first one. They have a good team. They’re going to compete, they’re going to fight. We’re getting ready for the next game.”

Game 2 is scheduled back at Carolina on Thursday night.

Oklahoma City Thunder defeat Minnesota Timberwolves 114-88 in Game 1 of Western Conference finals

Top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-88 on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.

After trailing by four points at halftime, Oklahoma City took control in the second half, outscoring Minnesota 70-40. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 20 of his 31 points in the second half, with nine assists. For Minnesota, Julius Randle scored 28 points, with. Anthony Edwards held to just 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

Game 2 is set for Thursday in Oklahoma City.

Lana Del Rey shares ‘Bluebird,’ second single from upcoming LP

Lana Del Rey has shared ‘Bluebird’, the second song from her upcoming album The Right Person Will Stay, slated for release later this year. The song arrives shortly after the release of her previous country-tinged single, “Henry, Come On.”

Bluebird was written by Del Rey and Luke Laird who also produced the track together with Drew Erickson. The Right Person Will Stay will be Lana’s first album since she released Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2023.

Lana Del Rey will also be embarking upon a sold-out UK and Ireland summer tour which will see her play dates in London, Dublin, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Cardiff. It is her first UK and Ireland stadium tour, including two dates at Wembley Stadium.
