Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Russell Crowe star in trailer for ‘Kraven the Hunter’

Sony Pictures released the promo for director J.C. Chandor‘s feature film ‘Kraven the Hunter,’ starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe. Kraven the Hunter centers on the Spider-Man villain who debuted in the comics in 1964.

The film follows Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, who is left for dead by his hunter father (Crowe) after a lion attack. The animal’s bite then appears to give superpowers to Sergei, who becomes known as Kraven the Hunter and uses violence to protect the animal kingdom.

The trailer for the film opens with a panorama of a snowy landscape, and a man’s voice saying, “My son, we are hunters, the greatest the world has ever known.”  The voice belongs to Kraven’s father, Nikolai Karvinoff (Crowe), and it echoes throughout clip.

Kraven the Hunter premieres Dec. 13; take a look at the trailer: HERE.

Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II agrees to record 4-year, $96M contract extension

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Denver Broncos signed cornerback Patrick Surtain II to a record four-year extension worth $96 million overall with $77.5 million in guarantees.

Per NFL Network, the pact makes Surtain the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history; the new deal will begin in 2026 and will keep him under contract in Denver through the 2029 season. The $24 million average annual value of Surtain’s deal is now No. 1 for defensive backs in the NFL (ahead of Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. ($21.025 million) and Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander ($21 million)). The $77.5 million guaranteed in Surtain’s contract is also the most for a defensive back contract.

Surtain, 24, was the No. 9 overall pick by the Broncos in the 2021 NFL Draft. The three-year veteran made the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons and was an All-Pro in 2022. Last season, the cornerback totaled 69 combined tackles, an interception and 12 passes; and over 50 career appearances he has logged 187 combined tackles, 36 passes defensed, seven interceptions, three tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a touchdown.

The Denver Broncos open their season on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EDT against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.

Adele announced she is taking a break from creating new music or performing after her Munich and Las Vegas residencies wrap up later this year.  The singer/songwriter told the crowd at her 10th and last show in Germany over the weekend (per CNN): “I just need a rest .. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now .. I want to live the new life that I have been building.”

Adele’s Las Vegas residency, which began in November 2022, is slated to wrap up this November after more than 100 live stage shows. She wrapped up her residency in Munich, Germany om August 31st, where she delivered the speech to the audience about taking an extended break. In a video from her last Munich show, posted by fans to social media, the 36-year-old said: “I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f—ing good at it. And I’ve really enjoyed performing for nearly three now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I will ever do .. I still have exactly five weeks of shows, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break. And I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years.”

Usher teams up with Victoria Monét for the single ‘SOS’

Usher and Victoria Monét team up for the new song “SOS (Sex on Sight).”

Monét said in a statement: “‘SOS (Sex on Sight)’ is about desire. It’s about the urgency you feel when you need some love, physical touch, and quality attention! Sometimes that desire can feel as urgent as being rescued from a natural disaster, or, in this case, rescued from your own sensual urges. Just like a storm, ‘SOS’ summons and forewarns a lover of the rainfall that is to come and welcomes the beautiful relief from that desire. It feels romantic, playful, sultry and direct. Based in fantasy and the warmest tones of R&B. It feels timeless, and we hope you enjoy the escape!”

“SOS (Sex on Sight)” follows Victoria Monét’s Jaguar II and Usher’s Coming Home.
