Take a look at the video for Karol G’s summer anthem ‘Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido’

Karol G’s summer anthem called “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” (translated to: “If I Had Known You Before”) is lighting up the charts.

Karol performed the song prior to its official release for the first time in London, later explaining on her Instagram that the tribute to the merengue genre is because she owes a lot to The Dominican Republic. “I worked on part of ‘Mañana Sera Bonito’ there, and when I need to disconnect from the world and connect with myself I also go there,” she wrote. “Its culture, its music, its colors, the hospitality, the energy… everything feels very authentic and special there. Its people have embraced me in a way that fills my heart and inspires me all the time.”

Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido was produced in partnership with Coke Studio and is accompanied by a music video directed by Pedro Artola, produced by WeOwnTheCity and filmed in the Dominican Republic. In the visual, Karol portrays a waitress at a beachside establishment, who is challenged and empowered by a fellow waitress to sing at the karaoke bar. The video captures the authentic Caribbean flavor, as all of all the participants dance with the artists throughout the clip.

World top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner withdraws from Paris Olympics

Top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner, 22, withdrew from the Paris Olympics on Wednesday due to tonsillitis. Sinner won the Australian Open in January for his first Grand Slam title, and moved up to No. 1 in the ATP rankings last month after reaching the French Open semifinals.

The Italian tennis superstar, ranked No. 1 in the world, posted on social media that a doctor advised him that he should sit out the Summer Games, just days before matches are scheduled to begin.  Sinner wrote (in Italian): “I am saddened to inform you that, unfortunately, I will not be able to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris. After a good week of training on clay, I started to feel unwell. I spent a couple of days resting, and during the visit, the doctor found tonsillitis and strongly advised me against playing. Missing the Games is a huge disappointment since it was one of my main goals for this season. I was looking forward to having the honor of representing my country in this very important event. A big good luck to all the Italian athletes that I will be supporting from home. Forza Italia.”

Sinner’s withdrawal from the Olympic Games means that Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will be the top-seeded men, setting up a potential gold medal rematch of the Wimbledon final.  Spain’s Alcaraz, 21, claimed his fourth Grand Slam trophy at Wimbledon this month by beating Serbian Djokovic, 37.  It was the second consecutive year that Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in the final at the All England Club. Sinner was eliminated from Wimbledon in the quarterfinals.

The Summer Games tennis competition will be held at Roland Garros, the site of the annual French Open Grand Slam tournament.  Sinner will be replaced on Italy’s team by 207th-ranked Andrea Vavassori in singles and by Luciano Darderi in doubles alongside Lorenzo Musetti.

The draw ceremony for the tennis tournament will be held Thursday in Paris. The competition will be held from Saturday to Aug. 4 at Roland Garros.

See Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley in the trailer for ‘The Substance’

Demi Moore, 61, plays an aging Hollywood star in the trailer for The Substance, described as a ‘feminist horror’ film directed by Coralie Fargeat (Revenge). The film, which debuted in Cannes and earned the best screenplay honors, features Moore embracing a secret cloning procedure to save her career.

The trailer sees Moore’s character, Elisabeth Sparkle, fired as the celebrity host of a daytime TV exercise program by a network producer (Dennis Quaid) and facing replacement by a more youthful and beautiful star.  This leads Elisabeth to inject the black market ‘secret serum’ dubbed The Activator, which produces a younger, more perfect version of herself called Sue (played by Margaret Qualley). The problem is Elisabeth’s two selves can’t get along, as the Activator requires her to spend one week in one body – and then one week in the other.

Chris Brown sued for $50M for assaulting 4 concertgoers at show in Fort Worth

Chris Brown is being sued for $50 million for allegedly assaulting four concertgoers. The lawsuit names Brown, several of his entourage, and tour promoter Live Nation as defendants in the filing, alleging the “brutal, violent assault,” of the concertgoers.

According to court papers obtained by PEOPLE, the incident took place after the rapper’s concert at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, with the lawsuit claiming that Brown and Conway, Hood Boos (a.k.a. Omololu Omari Akinlolu), and Sinko Ceej “brutally and severely beat” four men, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Damarcus Powell, in what was reportedly an unprovoked attack backstage at the show. The complaint further alleges that Live Nation continued their relationship with Brown despite his history of “bad conduct and violent behavior” and “shamelessly profits and promotes Brown’s The 11:11 Tour, bringing him to Texas for financial gain.”

The plaintiffs attorneys said in a statement: “This is Texas. The people here don’t care how important or famous you think you are, you have an obligation to follow the laws and conduct yourself in an appropriate way. Unprovoked violence can’t and won’t be tolerated. We intend to seek all damages that the law allows against Brown and his cohorts, to include punitive damages.”

The complaint adds, “The violence included Brown and his entourage surrounding the Plaintiffs, throwing chairs at them, and repeatedly kicking, stomping, and beating them. The unprovoked violence included multiple strikes to the Plaintiffs’ heads and chests and ultimately involved stomping them while they were down. The brutal, violent assault participated in and directed by Brown, severely injured all Plaintiffs.”

The four victims all are receiving medical treatment, with one of them hospitalized and “will need to undergo extensive medical treatment” because of “head injuries” he suffered during the attack. Additionally, the plaintiffs are demanding compensatory and punitive damages “in excess of $50 million”, in addition to the “pecuniary losses, pain, and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish, and past, present, and future medical expenses.”
