Take a look at Selena Gomez in the video for ‘Love On’

Selena Gomez has shared the video for new single “Love On”, her first single of 2024 and the follow-up to 2023’s “Single Soon.”  Love On, which was produced by The Monsters & Strangerz and Isaiah Tejada, was co-written by Gomez and her longtime co-writer Julia Michaels. The track is described as a “fun and flirty song inspired by the months Selena spent in Paris last year” according to a press release.

The video, directed by Greg Ohrel, shows several couples kissing, standing on the edge of a staircase, while Gomez dons a hot pink dress and holds a French bulldog, looking wonderstruck. Gomez later appears in several outfits and puts on a fashion show.  Gomez also posted some behind-the-scenes snaps from the official video shoot to her socials, which you can check out here.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor launching first-ever North American headlining tour

In celebration of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s 23-year-old single, “Murder on the Dancefloor” debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 last month, the UK pop artist will be embarking on her first-ever headlining tour of North America. “Murder on the Dancefloor” was originally released in December 2001, but has become a massive hit in the U.S. thanks to its inclusion in Emerald Fennell’s film, Saltburn.

Ellis-Bextor recently announced the arrival of “Murder on the Dancefloor” on 7-inch vinyl, including a limited-edition colored option. Head here to order.

Ellis-Bextor’s North American dates will kick-off in San Francisco on May 30th, making stops in cities including Washington DC, Boston, and New York before wrapping up on June 8th with a show in Toronto.

Cincinnati Bengals signs TE Mike Gesicki to one-year, $3.25 million contract

Free agent tight end Mike Gesicki confirmed Tuesday on X that he has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Sources told ESPN that Gesicki agreed to a one-year, $3.25 million contract

The veteran pass catcher later confirmed the move via a welcome message from Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who plans to teach him how to improve on his favorite dance move, the griddy. Gesicki, 28, wrote on X: “Listen everyone, like it or not I definitely gotta bring the griddy back now. Thanks dawg!”

Gesicki was the second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and spent his first five seasons with the Miami Dolphins, totaling 260 catches for 2,861 yards and 20 touchdowns through his first 98 career appearances.

In the 2023-24 campaign, Gesicki totaled 29 catches for 244 yards and two scores over 17 games last season for the New England Patriots, with whom he signed a one-year deal last off-season.

RB Aaron Jones agrees to 1-year, $7M deal with Minnesota Vikings

Free agent running back Aaron Jones has agreed to a one-year, $7 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings, according to sources via the The Athletic. The Green Bay Packers just announced on Monday that they had released Jones. Jones joins Chandler, Kene Nwangwu, Myles Gaskin and DeWayne McBride as the running backs under contract with the Vikings through 2024.

Jones, 29, joined the Packers as a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft; the seven-year veteran totaled 8,016 yards from scrimmage and 63 touchdowns in 97 career appearances for the Packers, logging a career-high 1,558 yards from scrimmage and league-best 19 touchdowns in 2019. Jones totaled 1,459 yards from scrimmage and 11 scores en route to a Pro Bowl selection in 2020. The running back signed a four-year, $48 million deal with the Packers in 2021, and logged 889 yards from scrimmage and a career-low three scores in 11 games last season, missing six games because of hamstring and knee injuries.

Beyoncé revealed artwork and the title of her new country album — ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter,’ set for release on March 29.

The superstar shared the news on her Instagram Story, adding the title and release date to her Instagram bio and posting a shot of a saddle with a red, white and blue sash that reads “Cowboy Carter”; the image is also prominently displayed on the homepage of Beyoncé’s website.  Additionally, fans can head to the ‘Shop’ section of Queens Bey’s website to pre-order merchandise and the new record, which also reveals alternate artwork to feature close-up photos of Beyoncé’s face as she dons a black cowboy hat with a white snake over her eye, and her blonde hair feathered-cut and braided.

Beyoncé first surprised fans by announcing her new country-themed album during the Super Bowl this past February. Shortly after the viral announcement, the superstar dropped two country-inspired songs, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” After Texas Hold ‘Em started being played by country radio, it went on to hit No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, with Beyoncé making history as the first Black female artist to ever reach the top spot on the chart.

Dennis Quaid to portray serial killer in ‘Happy Face’ at Paramount+

Dennis Quaid is set to star in the new Paramount+ series, Happy Face. A press release revealed that Quaid, 69, will play the real-life serial killer known as “Happy Face”- because of the smiley faces he drew on evidence where he bragged about his crimes. The series will begin production in the spring.

Quaid joins the previously announced Annaleigh Ashford in the cast of Happy Face; Ashford will portray Happy Face’s daughter, Melissa Moore. The series is inspired by the true story of Moore, which was previously explored in her autobiography ‘Shattered Silence’.

In the series, Happy Face (Quaid) is an incarcerated serial killer who is also Melissa’s (Ashford) once-beloved father. After decades of no contact, he finally finds a way to force himself back into his daughter’s life. An official synopsis reads: “in a race against the clock, Melissa must find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed. Throughout, she discovers the impact her father had on his victims’ families and must face a reckoning of her own identity.”

Charles Melton and Elizabeth Olsen joining Todd Solondz’s ‘Love Child’

Elizabeth Olsen and “May/December” breakout star Charles Melton will star in Todd Solondz‘s dark comedy, “Love Child.”

According to a film synopsis, Love Child “follows Misty, who is stuck in a loveless marriage to a brutish husband, with her precocious 11-year-old, Junior, her only consolation. When Easy, a handsome vagabond stranger, appears, Junior hatches a plan to get rid of his father so that his mother can marry him instead. But things end up backfiring, so Junior comes up with yet another plan, this one even more devious, and with more disastrous—and unexpected—consequences.”

Said Solondz: “I am beyond excited to work with Elizabeth Olsen and Charles Melton on what will be a super fun and playful celebration of Hollywood movies. Added Olsen, “I am a long-time fan of Todd’s work and to collaborate with him on this film is a true dream.”

Paramore shares the video for ‘Thick Skull’

Paramore have released the new music video for ‘Thick Skull’, taken from their 2023 album ‘This Is Why’.

The video for ‘Thick Skull’, directed by Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, sees frontwoman Hayley Williams once again sitting covered in smeared lipstick to perform the song, before we see footage of her in a crashed van.

Paramore were announced as Record Store Day Ambassadors this year, and recently shared their cover of the Talking Heads’ classic ‘Burning Down The House’. They will hitting the road this summer as support for Taylor Swift on her The Eras Tour this summer in the UK.

Indianapolis Colts sign WR Michael Pittman to 3-year, $71.5M contract

The Indianapolis Colts have signed wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to a three-year contract extension, According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Pittman and the Colts have reached an agreement on the extension worth up to $71.5 million, including $46 million guaranteed. Pittman also confirmed the news Monday on X, writing “staying home” on the post.

Indianapolis placed its franchise tag on the 26-year-old Pittman earlier this offseason, which would’ve paid him $21.8 million for the 2024 season. Pittman was the first Colts player to receive the franchise tag since former punter Pat McAfee in 2013.

The second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft logged 336 catches for 3,662 yards and 15 scores over his first four seasons with the Colts, totaling a career-high 109 catches for 1,152 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games last season. He led the team in receiving yards in each of the last three years.
